Hey Nellz;

Sorry to hear that you joined the club but WELCOME. I call people who are positive club members. I've been a member for 21 years. Yes get to a doctor right away so you get started on treatment. and yes you can go to a private doctor. If your cd4 is very low, that means you have had it for a while. Who you got it from is not that important now. Go into wicapedia and read up on hiv. Also look for hiv support groups in your area. For you do need to get around people who have this and are copeing. They will also be a good source of info. All is not lost. you are on a new journey and I'll be here to help you as long as you need me.

Look in the phone book or on line for hiv/aids supportgroups in your area. They should have a list of good doctors who know how to treat hiv. start educateing your self about hiv. Learn the do's and don'ts and the can's and can'ts. The meaning of that will become clear in time.
Till the next time
LOVE
Cal

Cal,
your advice sounds great but I've been on the internet and phone for hours now and haven't found any thing about any support groups in my area...
I've even called churches and hospitals...no luck so far...
